The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro were highly anticipated and finally made their global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023.
The initial announcements of the lineup, which included Leica co-branded cameras and three-dimensional speakers, were made in China last year. While the 13 Pro has already been covered in another article, this piece will focus on the features, availability, and expected price of the Xiaomi 13 in Nepal.

Xiaomi 13 Overview
Re-Built
Firstly, the smartphone was re-modeled with a new camera bump placement. It got a flat side frame which is made up of aluminum alloy that makes the phone shine.
You get the device in classic black and white with another variant of different colors as well like new green (3D glass), and distant mountain blue (nano-tech leather) shades.

The nano-technology imitates a leather skin at the back frame with awesome anti-dirt capacity. As per Xiaomi, the device back can be easily cleaned with a paper towel if necessary.
Besides being premium it’s also portable while only being 189 g in weight and 7.89 mm in thickness. Is also IP68-certified which makes the phone resistant to dust and water.
Additionally, there is a limited edition of Xiaomi 13 in China, in various different and unique colors like Flame Red, Gem Blue, Cement Ashes, Hurricane Yellow, and Jungle Green.
Display
For display, it has a 6.36-inch diagonally with an AMOLED panel and Full HD+ resolution. Likewise, it has a 120Hz refresh rate with 1900 nits of brightness and also sports all HDR standards, including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR 10, and HLG.
As the display in E8, Xiaomi claims it consumes 22% less brightness than the Xiaomi 12 at the same brightness setting. Along with Color Temperature Sensor, which automatically adjusts the color temperature on the screen based on the environment.
Camera
The feature called Leica’s lenses is the biggest flex of the device where the main primary camera is a Sony IMX800 sensor of 50MP and a 7P lens which makes the lens pass through more light. As it is a triple-camera module, you will get a 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom and OIS support.
And the third one you provide with an ultrawide sensor with a 12MP resolution. The device gets a 32MP sensor for selfies.
As for the features it provides the main unit with an ultra-low reflection coating and a new cycloolefin material to reduce glare. Including Hyper OIS, which provides extremely stable photos and videos.
Moreover, there are four Leica picture modes that will help in adjusting the color and tone to keep the originality of the picture.
Performances
Inside the device, you will find the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Providing up to 37% in performances with the Cortex-X3 core, four Performance cores (2.8GHz), and three Efficiency cores (@2.0GHz).
Overall the high-performance phone also includes a 4642 mm2 vapor chamber cooling system. For better thermals during heavy loads and gaming. According to the device boots on Android 13-based MIUI 14.
Based on new memory technology, the phone is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The new memory technology is LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage will improve the device’s multitasking modes and read/write speeds.
Audio & Connectivity
For audio, it has a three-dimensional dual speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio (Wireless). While also offers Dolby’s head tracking feature and when combined with the Xiaomi Buds 4, provides an immersive experience.
Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone features dual 5G SIM, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC for connectivity. And for security, it has a built-in display fingerprint sensor.
Battery & Charging
The device fuels on a 4500mAh battery, that is said to offer 1.37 days of battery life under Xiaomi’s standard battery life test. As for the charger, you can charge it with a 67W wired charger, or a 50W wireless charger. While also supporting 10W reverse charging.
Xiaomi also said you can wire a medium charge and get from 0% to 100% in 38 minutes whereas 50W wireless charging takes about 48 minutes for a full charge.
It includes features like P1 and G1 Surge co-processors for effective battery management.

Xiaomi 13 Price in Nepal and Availability
The Xiaomi 13 will be priced at EUR 999 for the 8/128GB entry-level version, while the cost of the second 12/256GB model has not been announced yet. The phone will be available for purchase starting March 8. If the Xiaomi 13 is released in Nepal, we expect it to cost around NPR 150,000.
