MSI has retained the same design language for the new Studio A13V as its predecessors, emphasizing portability, durability, and style. The laptop’s metal chassis is 16.85 mm thin and weighs 2.1 kg, meeting the MIL-STD-810G durability and reliability criteria. However, what distinguishes the Prestige 16 Studio from the Evo version is its display.
It boasts a 16-inch QHD mini LED screen with a refresh rate of 165Hz, providing complete DCI-P3 coverage and factory calibration for Delta-E2. Additionally, MSI also offers a slightly less expensive 165Hz QHD IPS model.

Performance & Memory
The inclusion of the “Studio” prefix in the MSI Prestige 16 Studio denotes its membership in the GeForce RTX Studio initiative, which provides specialized software for content creation, including Studio drivers, Omniverse, and Broadcast. Studio laptops utilize RTX technology and GPU acceleration to improve the performance of Adobe programs.
While offering two GPU options for the Prestige 16 Studio. The lower-end model features an RTX 4050 with a 45W TGP, while the higher-end model boasts an RTX 4060 with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 55W TGP.
Likewise, it is powered by an Intel Core i7-13700H CPU with improved hybrid core architecture, providing a turbo frequency of up to 5.0GHz and 6 Performance and 8 Efficient cores.
Battery
It is powered by a 4-cell, 82Whr battery, and comes with a 120/150W adapter. It has a dedicated charging connection, but users can also use the supported USB-C port for PD charging.
There are two additional USB ports for data transmission, a microSD card reader, an HDMI, and an audio combination jack. The laptop also features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless communication.
Other Features
The latest MSI laptop has a physical Webcam Lock Switch that allows you to turn off the Full HD video, located next to the connections on the left side. In addition, the camera has an IR sensor that can be used for Windows Hello Face authentication.
For added security, the laptop has a biometric reader and a TPM 2.0 chip. Other noteworthy features include a backlit keyboard, an ambient light sensor, and DTS Audio stereo speakers.
