A more lightweight and portable version, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 3, is available in Nepal. Just like the last ThinkPad L14 Gen 3, which is their flagship business laptop for 2022.
Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 Overview
Built & Display
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 has a slimmer design compared to the standard T14 model and comes in an all-aluminum body with the option of a carbon fiber lid. It weighs less than the T14 in two similar configurations.
When the lid is opened, a 14-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio is revealed. Lenovo offers six different display options, with the majority featuring a WUXGA panel with varying levels of brightness and color gamut.
Some also have touch input and Lenovo’s Privacy Guard feature. The top-of-the-line model, however, has a 90Hz OLED panel.

Performance
The main upgrade in the 2023 ThinkPad T14s is the inclusion of the 12th Generation “Alder Lake” CPUs with hybrid architecture for the Intel version, which provides significant generational improvement.
Users can choose between processors from the 15W U-series or the 28W P-series. Although the Ryzen 6000 Pro series may not seem as impressive, it still offers improvements compared to the previous model. Moreover, the AMD version has better graphics performance thanks to AMD’s Radeon graphics, but both versions have non-upgradable LPDDR5 memory.
Security Options
For business professionals, Lenovo has equipped the laptop with a wide range of security features. Each model has discrete TPM 2.0 security chips, while some AMD configurations also include a Microsoft Pluton chip.
The power button houses a match-on-chip fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. An IR sensor for Windows Hello and a privacy shutter come with the webcam. It also features Glance and Human Presence Detection as additional security options.
Battery & Other Options
It is powered by a 57Wh Li-Polymer battery that can be charged up to 80% in an hour using the included 65W USB-C adapter due to Rapid Charge support.
The laptop also features two Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort, an HDMI port, two Type-A USB ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
