Overview of Samsung Galaxy Note 9
The design of the phone is similar to its predecessor Note 8, however, there are few noticeable changes, like, the display is bit bigger and the fingerprint sensor has been repositioned below the camera which is easy to reach unlike at the side of the camera. In Nepal, Galaxy Note 9 will be available in three color variants: Metallic Copper, Ocean Blue and Midnight Black.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features 6.4 inches of Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2960 * 1440 pixels which is a minor increment compared to Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus’s 6.2 inches Display.
Note 9 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (US and China) and Exynos 9810 (Nepal and rest of the nations), which is the same processor used by other smartphones in the market. Along with that, Samsung claims that they have used the liquid cooling system in the phone to increase the performance, which will increase the performance while doing heavy tasks and playing games like Fortnite, PUBG and Asphalt 9 Legend.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes in two variants. The base variant of the phone comes with 128GB onboard memory and 6GB of RAM and a high-end variant with 512GB of onboard memory packed with 8GB of RAM. Both variants come with an expandable storage slot and can be expanded up to 1TB. Although the 512GB microSD card is currently not available in the market, Samsung will be launching it soon. Along with that, the Note 9 features the same camera setup as the Galaxy S9 Plus with Dual 12MP camera with OIS. The camera in Note 9 features AI which Samsung is calling Scene Optimization and it can detect the objects in the scene like trees and clouds and optimizes the camera setting to get better photos.
Note 9 comes with a huge 4,000 mAh non-removable battery and features fast charging, in both wired and wireless charging. S-Pen is the most exciting thing in Note 9 as it gets a major upgrade. Now SPen can be used as the wireless remote to trigger different actions. Also, now the Samsung DEX is embedded within the phone and unlike Note 8 it does not requires the DEX dock pad to enable the feature and you can easily turn on DEX by plugging the cable.
