Xiaomi announced the Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 in China. They are the flagship models from Redmi.
Meanwhile, the devices come with top-of-the-line MediaTek SoCs and a liquid cooling system. Similarly, the smartphones flaunt 120Hz refresh rates and Dolby Vision capable 2K resolution displays.

Redmi K50 vs. Redmi K50 Pro:
Performance and Memory
Xiaomi’s RedmiK50 series includes two Mediatek Dimensity flagships. Meanwhile, the vanilla K50 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. Mediatek subtitled it as the “little brother” of the top-tier Dimensity 9000 SoC.
Similarly, the device has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM manufactured in 5nm. However, the RedmiK50 comes with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage while K50 Pro has up to 512 GB built-in storage.
Optical Features
The non-Pro model replaces the high-resolution 108MP camera with a 48MP OIS camera for photography. Meanwhile, the 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor join the primary lens to complete the triple camera setup. In addition, it has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 sensor on the front.
Sensor and Connectivity
The sensors and connectivity options are identical to the Redmi K50Pro. It also has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, ambient color temperature sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, infrared blaster, and ultrasonic distance sensor onboard.
Battery and Rest of Specs
The standard K50 has 5,500mAh, while the Pro gets 5,000mAh. However, the RedmiK50 Pro outperforms the K50 with 120W fast charging, which Xiaomi claims can fully charge the phone in just 19 minutes.
On the other hand, the vanilla K50 uses a 67W charger that claims to fully charge it in 48 minutes. Moreover, the K50 has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res audio certification on the smartphone.
Design and Display
The SIM, software, and display specifications of the RedmiK50 are identical to those of the RedmiK50 Pro. For instance, both phones have a 6.67-inch AMOLED QHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Similarly, Gorilla Glass Victus protects the panels. In addition, both phones run MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
Furthermore, the black version of the RedmiK50 series features a nano-microcrystalline” back design with sparkling ice-crystal elements. Meanwhile, they are also available in Green, silver, and blue shades. According to Xiaomi, the RedmiK50 and the RedmiK50 Pro have the same weight and dimensions.

Redmi K50 Price and Availability
The Redmi K50 is available in three storage capacities: 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/256 GB. Similarly, the 8/128 GB edition costs CYN 2,399, and the 12/256 GB variant costs CNY 2,799, respectively in China. Meanwhile, the cost of K50 is estimated to be between NPR 50,000 and NPR 58,000 in Nepal.
