Performances
Similar to the other 2022 MSI HX laptops, the Vector GP66 HX is equipped with Intel’s 12th Gen “desktop-level” processors. While the laptop can be configured with a Core i9-12900HX processor, the option available in Nepal is the Core i7-12800HX.
This processor has 16 cores, with 8 dedicated to efficiency and the other 8 for performance. The laptop also features an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and a power consumption limit of 150W thanks to NVIDIA Dynamic Boost.
It comes with 32GB of DDR5 memory by default, but users can double the capacity using the dual SO-DIMM memory ports. The two M.2 SSD slots also allow for expanding the storage capacity beyond the default 1TB SSD.
Cooling System
The laptop is equipped with MSI OverBoost 2.0 technology, which can unlock a maximum of 205W CPU-GPU performance under extreme conditions. The proprietary Cooler Boost 5, featuring two large fans and seven wide heat pipes, is used to dissipate the heat generated by the internals.
Likewise, it comes with 32GB of DDR5 Memory by default, but the dual SO-DIMM memory ports allow users to double it. It also has two M.2 SSD slots, enabling users to increase the storage capacity beyond the default 1TB SSD.
Battery & Other Features
Powering the device is a 4-cell 65Wh battery that comes with a 330W adapter. The laptop features a total of five USB ports, including a Type-C and Thunderbolt 4.
