Lenovo has released the V Gen 3 (2022) laptops in two types, the V14 and V15, with the former being a portable option for work and education, weighing around 1.7 kg and 19.9mm thick.
The V15, on the other hand, is thicker and heavier but has a larger 15.6-inch display. Both laptops have an all-plastic build and are available in Business black and Iron grey colors due to their affordability.
Both have identical screen specifications, except for the size difference, with the entry-level models featuring FHD resolution TN panels. However, buyers can opt for IPS models with better brightness and wider viewing angles for a slightly higher cost.

Performance
It is available in both Intel and AMD versions. The Intel-based V14 G3 IAP and V15 G3 IAP offer options of 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U, i5-1235U, and i7-1255U processors.
Meanwhile, the V14 G3 ABA and V15 G3 ABA have Ryzen 5435U, 5625U, and 5825U processors. None of the models have separate graphics and instead have integrated solutions.
The laptops have two memory slots, with one having a fixed 4GB or 8GB DDR4-3200 RAM. An additional 8GB can be inserted into the other slot for dual-channel memory. The maximum storage capacity of the M.2 slot is 512GB. Models equipped with a 38Wh battery also have an empty HDD drive to expand storage.
Battery & Other Features
Regardless of the battery size, the V Gen 3 laptops from Lenovo come with a 65W power adapter and have a battery life of 7 hours, which is less than the 10-hour battery life of 45Wh models. However, these laptops support Rapid Charge and can charge up to 80% in just 1 hour.
It has a dedicated DC-in port but also supports USB charging through the Power Delivery 3.0 Type-C port. In terms of ports, they come with two USB-A, an HDMI, an ethernet, and an audio combo jack. For wireless connectivity, these laptops support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Furthermore, it also has a fingerprint scanner, but they do come with firmware-based TPM 2.0 and a Kensington nano security slot for added security.
