The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (2022) still uses an all-plastic construction, with the top and bottom of the chassis made of PC-ABS material. The laptop comes in three different colors – Abyss Blue, Arctic Blue, and Misty Blue – depending on stock availability.
For display, you will get a 14-inch or 15.6-inch IPS display, with identical specifications except for the diagonal length. The 15-inch model also has a touchscreen option, which is not currently available in Nepal.
Interestingly, both the 14-inch and 15-inch models have the same thickness, but the latter is heavier at 1.43 kg. The display has a brightness level of 30 nits and color coverage of 45% NTSC.

Performance & Memory
The company offers options for both Intel and AMD fans. If you prefer Intel, you can choose the 12th Generation Core i5-1235U, which has a total of 10 CPU cores – 2 performance and 8 efficiency cores – based on a hybrid architecture. It also supports Hyper-Threading, with a thread count of 12, and can reach a maximum turbo speed of 4.5GHz.
However, if you’re a fan of AMD, you’ll be disappointed to learn that the IdeaPad 3 (2022) does not feature the Ryzen 6000-series CPU. Instead, it offers the Ryzen 5825U, which is an upgrade from the Ryzen 5700U in the previous generation.
All models of the IdeaPad 3 come with 8GB of soldered RAM, but there’s an available SO-DIMM slot that can be used to increase the memory to 16GB. None of the models come with discrete graphics, and they all have a 512GB SSD and an empty HDD drive for expansion. However, the newer versions come with a second M.2 drive instead of the HDD, which is not available in Nepal.
Battery & Other Features
It comes with both 38Whr and 45Whr batteries, but only the former is available in Nepal. While supporting Rapid Charge, the included 65W charger can charge the laptop up to 80% in just one hour when using the Rapid Charge function in the Vantage app. Which is then powered through the Type-C port on the left using Power Delivery 3.0.
For connectivity, it features 2 USB ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 combined audio jack, and 1 card reader. For wireless communication, Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 are both supported.
