DJI Inspire 3 Overview
Build
DJI has made significant design changes to the Inspire 3 drone to enhance its maneuverability while maintaining its arachnid-like appearance, similar to the Inspire 2.
The improved aerodynamics of the Inspire 3 resulted in a 20% decrease in air resistance, allowing for a slightly longer battery life of 28 minutes compared to 25 minutes on the previous model. Latest 2023 updated DJI Drones Price in Nepal.
The Inspire 3’s design also enhances its agility with maximum dive speed increasing from 9 m/s to 10 m/s, and vertical ascend/descent speed increasing from 6 m/s and 4 m/s to 8 m/s, while achieving high speeds of around 58 mph.
Despite an increase in weight to 3995 grams, which is 550 grams more than the Inspire 2, it has a higher payload of 4310 grams, as compared to 4250 grams of the prior generation.
The Inspire 3 comes with new foldable quick-release propellers that are easy to store and do not require installation before each flight. Likewise, the landing gear can be raised or lowered to allow the camera to rotate 360 degrees and tilt up to 80 degrees without any obstructions.

Camera
As for the optics aspects, the company has undergone significant improvements, with the full-frame Zenmuse X9-8K Air, DJI’s lightest camera yet, being mounted on the drone.
Meaning it is capable of recording video at speeds of up to 8K RAW, 8K/75 frames per second for Apple ProRes RAW, and 8K/25 frames per second for CinemaDNG.
It is also the first DJI drone to support the ProRes RAW format, but a license key that costs $979 needs to be purchased to use it, along with the CinemaDNG standard.
Despite this, the X9-8K Air camera supports 14+ stops of dynamic range to capture images in challenging lighting conditions, as well as dual native ISO, making it an excellent cinematic drone for capturing videos in low light conditions.
This drone also includes interchangeable lenses like it is successor. DJI has added a new telephoto lens designed for 8K recording and an additional 18mm F2.8 full-frame lens to their DL-mount lens lineup, which already includes 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm versions.
Modes & Controllers
It has incorporated a range of features in the Inspire 3 to enable aerial footage creation. One of the newest additions is WayPoint Pro, which utilizes a real-time kinetic system to achieve precise location down to the centimeter. There are two other WayPoint modes, Repeatable Routes, and 3D Dolly.
Another new feature is its Spotlight Pro which allows it to automatically recognize and lock onto subjects. The drone’s obstacle detection capabilities have also been improved, and users may select to activate or deactivate horizontal, upward, and downward sensing.
The RC Plus controller, which is used with the Inspire 3, includes a 7-inch display with a brightness of 1200 nits and can operate for 3.3 hours before requiring an additional WB37 battery to extend that time to 6 hours.
The controller also includes a dual-control mode that enables independent control of the drone and live feed viewing. DJI’s newest patented “Occusync” technology, the O3 Pro, is used for video transmission, which can transmit a 1080@60fps feed and cover a range of up to 15km.
